Birding

Thanks to over 807 square miles of gently rolling hills, Angelina County is a great place for birding. With mixed pine and hardwood forests, Sam Rayburn Reservoir, Angelina National Forest, Davy Crockett National Forest, pastures, and other grassy areas dotting the landscape, there is an abundance of avian habitats for you to discover and explore.

The Pineywoods Audubon Society is a group of individuals from the Angelina County area that love birding. They often get together to enjoy birds in their natural habitat. You can learn more at the Pineywoods Audubon Society's website.
