Birding Guide

Birds are truly majestic creatures, and here in Angelina County we have many different species of birds, some very common and others a rare and beautiful sight to see! Our Angelina County birding guide is very useful when trying to spot in-season birds. The guide is a great resource for information on the abundance of different species of birds, as well as in what seasons you may be able to spot them.








Our birding checklist is based on sightings collected over a thirty-five year period by a number of avid bird watching individuals. There are 293 species listed with an AOU checklist 7th Edition ordering (47th Supplement). Sightings continue to be made, and seven additional species have been added to the county list since its publication.
