MISSION STATEMENT
The primary objective of the Lufkin Convention and Visitors Bureau (LCVB) is to create maximum hotel occupancy within the city through a marketing program aimed at attracting and securing overnight visitors who will spend money in the Lufkin area.
The LCVB will promote the city, attract meetings, bring convention and tourism business to the community. We will enhance the growth and development of Lufkin and Angelina County by increasing visitor and convention business.
The LCVB will contribute to the identity and economic well being of Lufkin. We will take a leadership role with the community and business partners to provide an outstanding visitor experience.

The Lufkin Convention & Visitors Bureau (LCVB) offers a wide range of services to assist in the planning of your meetings and leisure events. Our goal is to surpass your every expectation, and we hope that the information provided will save you time and effort.
Guidelines
- It is required for anyone needing Convention Servicing to fill out a Convention Services Request Form. They are available by contacting the LCVB or Chamber by phone, fax, or visiting the Chamber Office located on 1615 S. Chestnut Street.
- It takes up to two (2) weeks to process your request. Please be patient. Once submitted, the manager of the LCVB will contact you and discuss your needs and schedule a pick-up date to receive materials requested.
- Pick-ups are scheduled between 2:00 p.m.—4:00 p.m. on FRIDAYS.
Pre-planning Assistance & Liaison for Local Supplies & Services
- The amount of preplanning can vary and we recommend that you make the Lufkin Convention & Visitors Bureau your first contact point when it comes to any meeting.
- The LCVB can provide a list of suppliers to add interest and excitement to your event.
- For group information, planners are required to fill out a group tour proposal form.
- Additional policies and guidelines may apply, give the type of services requested. The CVB reserves the right to evaluate needs on a case-by-case basis.
Promotional Items (Welcome Bags)
- Welcome Bags consist of visitor information, including a visitor guide, brochures on area attractions, an event calendar, a pen, notepad, and one Lufkin Memorabilia.
- The Lufkin CVB will need 2 –4 weeks to assemble welcome bags.
- The number of welcome bags is based on the peak room night and there must be an attendance of 25 participants to receive welcome bags.
Support Materials/City Information (Visitor Packets)
- Visitor Packets include: Lufkin/Angelina County Community Guide; Visitor Information (visitor guide, area attraction brochures, event calendar); Angelina County Map; and local telephone directory.
- The Lufkin CVB will need at least one (1) week to assemble visitor packets.
- Due to the time restricted to assemble visitor packets, walk-ins are allowed to receive ONLY two (2) packets.
